99 cent Pizza Restaurants in New York City
May 1, 2008
99 cent pizza in NYC, can you believe that? What used to bother me around lunch time is - what am I going to eat. There are just too many choices that I don’t really know what to pick. You name it, you will get.
Want quick lunch, pick up a slice pizza for 99 cents. That’s not a typo, it’s 99 cents for a single slice and they are not available in 99 cent store. It’s realy New York Pizza. Except it’s half the thickness of the what you usually get from a Pizzeria. To me the thin slice tastes even better and crunchy.
For $2.99, you will get 2 slices plus a can of Soda. You will be surprised that there are numbers of 99c pizza places located in midtown where rent can be very expensive. How do they manage to make money out of that incredibly low price. Let’s have a close look. The one I usually go to is located on 43rd street between Lexington Ave and 3rd ave. The restaurant (if you like to call that) is basically a tiny takeout place. There are 3 men working, one cashier, another reheating the pizza, the last person makes the pizza. There is always a short line outside the pizza shop as there is room big enough for just 4 people to stand inside. There is no chair, no table. Pick up the pizza and leave. You get the idea. So now Who dares to says things are more expensive in the city. I bet you can’t find the same 99 cent NYC Pizza deal in any suburbs.
